Communion

We are not complete until we are connected with the Father, our creator, and the God who knows us better than we know ourselves. We were made to worship and we all worship something! Unless we are worshiping the one true God, we are disconnected from who we were designed to be.

Isn't it shocking to see the destructive lifestyles of the rich and famous?   They seem to have everything that one might desire: power, fame, money, cars, sex, and all types of external happiness.

Why are they so unhappy?  Why do they struggle in life so much?  The reality is that EVERYONE who does not have Christ has profound emptiness: unforgiveness, lack of purpose, self-centeredness, unremoved guilt, lack of love, pointlessness, etc.

Most of all, they are lacking connection with a Heavenly Father who lavishes His love and care over His children and gives them LIFE (today and forever!).  This is "Communion."  One of the definitions for this word is "intimate fellowship."  This is what God desires; this is what man searches for.

Perhaps your earthly father was not very loving...or even completely absent in your life.  The beauty of the Heavenly Father is that He is perfect and loves perfectly.  This is good news!  He offers Himself.  He offers eternal life with Him.  He offers His own son to adopt us into His family!

What About You?

How can you have this gift of life, forgiveness, eternal life, and relationship with the God who truly knows you?   Jesus answered this clearly in John 14:

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?  When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.  And you know the way to where I am going.”

“No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.  If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”

What are you waiting for?!  Come home to your Heavenly Father!
